A SOHUM TRADITION FOR 20 YEARS, THE FUNNICATORS played GYPPO ALE MILL in SHELTER COVE on Saturday at Gyppo's 8th Anniversary party.
I caught it all on video with excellent sound for the most part (well, the vocal mix was too low for about six of the songs... but that was outside of my control).
Their whole set of classic blues, R&B, and 1950s and 60s pre- and post-psychedelic rock 'n' roll is nonstop fun! They even do Hendrix and surf music!
These people have very deep roots performing this stylized American music and they display Fun Mastery that only musicians with a half century under their belts and some psychedelic experiences can ignite for us.
I'll be uploading videos of individual songs over the coming days, but here is both sets of their entire show.
Once you get into it, it will suck you in!

We're lucky enough that these people are our longtime friends and neighbors. Not to be missed, especially if you're a young music creator or fan. These guys got chops! And boy, are they in the pocket!
