Seattle songwriter JIM PAGE will be performing at REDWOOD PLAYHOUSE in Garberville this SATURDAY at 7 PM. Doors open at 6:30. Weโre still looking for volunteers to table with KMUD merchandise.

Probably the two Jim Page songs that most touch the hearts of folks around here in old growth redwood country (especially Gypsy... RIP David Gypsy Chain) were played together here, by request, in Garberville at the Civic Club by Jim back in 2012.

Jim has been one of us Humboldt County & Headwaters Forest activists for 30 years.
He's told the world about Julia Butterfly! About the murder of David "Gypsy" Chain! In "Oregon Landslide" he reveals the human tragedy of industrial forestry. And in the 1970s he warned of the ecological disaster that is suburbia. He's done road shows with us. He narrated the citizen takeover of Seattle to trounce the WTO in his classic, "Didn't We."
And he loves to play in SoHum! I've shot several of his shows on video, at the Garberville Civic Club and most recently at Healy Senior Center. And boy, can he play and sing!
I don't know of anyone who has written as many great songs as Jim Page. So come on down to Redwood Playhouse to welcome our friend back to town. And the show benefits KMUD! So you get a great 2-fer: Aโฆ
